Merry Christmas 2010
This year has been the most difficult for me to get in the holiday season feeling.I am usually a big goof with Christmas music playing and cooking something sweet everyday. It has been slow process. This year someone at church left some Christmas treats in our car after church. This really touched me and it was also very humbling.I have no idea who left those nice things in our car but it pushed me into a cheerful mood. I know heavenly father will bless them. I am so thankful for my church family, they are wonderful.I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas. I feel so blessed to have my loving family and great friends. Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!

Thanksgivng Weekend
The Miller-Martins headed to Burlington ,N.C for Thanksgiving this year. Can I just say,BEST WEEKEND EVER! We shopped till we dropped, ate lots of good food most importantly sweets, four wheeled and saw lions, tigers, and wolves. Amy's parents were extremely hospitable,we felt like family right away. Amy and I shopped black Friday and luckily we were not hurt during the process. We ate! We took an hay less hay ride to the conservatory behind the house to see these Hugh Lions, wolves, tigers. These animals were so close and tame it way so nice, better than a zoo any day.Sunday we went to church then had a nice lunch and took some great fall pictures and four wheeled. It was so much fun.One of my favorite Thanksgivings hands down.

Oct.1st. Let the Halloween celebrations begin!!!!
These past months have been mad busy. We have had so many changes in our family. I've started school. It's so much fun, learning all kinds of new stylish things. I then come home and practise on my family, they seem to like it so far.
Troy especially like the hand massages and manicures, but keep that our secret.
Gabbie won sixth grade student council treasure! We are so happy for her. She is a born leader.I hope she stays this driven throughout school.
The twins are doing well this year their progress reports were very good. They have a really cool teacher this year.
Troy is still in school. He has his eyes on this May when it will all be over. I know all his hard work will pay off. We are proud of him and his hard work. I know heavenly father will bless him.
My Birthday was yesterday and It was rained out. That's ok because i received many warm birthday wishes and hopefully we can go to Accidental artist next Thursday!
We are super ready for Halloween. We have started searching for things to make homemade costumes.Yeah! Life is Great!

Troy's Baptismal August 19, 2010
Wow, How can I describe a most amazing evening for our family.Troy was Baptised Thursday August 19, 2010. Josh Martin baptised him,Troy would never have asked anyone else since Josh is his best buddy and Troy loves him like a brother.Josh has been such a great friend to us both.
Brother Whaley and Brother McCulloghm gave talks on the holy ghost and baptism. They are both wonderful speakers. The Missionaries gave opening and closing prayers.Troy has grown very fond of them both. When ever they get together with Troy they all three have a good time, joking around. Our girls and the Martin girls sang a song for Troy. It was so sweet and I could truly feel the spirit. It was a great evening.
I've prayed about Troy joining the church.I could never talk him into it.I never tried because he is not the type to be pushed into anything, unless he wants to be. I saw changes in his life and then he decided to join which was an answered prayer and a huge blessing for our family. We are really excited that next year we will all be able to go to the temple together.

fishy times in New Bern NC
Today's adventure started with a bike ride to the next neighborhood over from our house. We saw a tiny pond where five nice white ducks live. The twins wanted to feed them so we biked all the way home then back to the pond. We TRIED to feed the duck but soon discovered that there are many many small fish that live in this pond, and they were eating all the bread. The girls got out there handy dandy beach nets and caught at least twenty fish.I only let the girls take three home.I hope they make it.

Cookie Poker
Our family loves poker night. When we have Poker night its with cookies, not poker chips.Troy taught our girl how to play poker with chips and they loved it.They did not mind taking a chance with the chips because what the hey, it's just pretend money. When we play with chocolate chip cookies and nutter butters, it's a different story. It can get a little crazy. Gabbie won last night with the ending 30 chocolate chip cookies and 4 nutter butters with Madison in second place.

15 I meant 14 years of marriage:)
Troy and I celebrated fourteen years of marriage today.Wow, I feel like that is a huge accomplishment in this day and age. I'd say that its been fourteen blissful years of marriage but we've been through so much. We made it through the death of our first baby-Jacob.We made it through a house fire when all we had left was the clothes on our back and the kitchen table. We made it through these last few years of him going to college and working a job several brain cells below his I.Q.just to be able to make it through. When we first were married we had to wait several months for military housing, we lived in some friend's walk in closet.(true story)
Anyways, I know all these things happen for a reason it makes me stronger.I feel so blessed to have my family, to love them and be loved. Tonight my three wonderful girls made us dinner while we went to a movie. They dressed up and severed us. We had Rosemary and Lemon chicken, salad and strawberry shortcake. I think this was the best Anniversary yet!
also-I accidently posted on facebook that we were married 15 years then Troy had to remind me that its only 14.geesh what's with me and numbers?

4th of July, 2010
We Millers had a fun and busy fourth of July Weekend.
On Friday our friend Anaya can over to hang out with us and we made tye-dye shirts.(Gabbie is wearing one in the picture) That was a lot of fun and now my girls want to make even more tye-dye shirts. My parents had a cook out which was fun. My favorite part was watching my little two year old neice learn to slide on her belly for the first time on a slip and slide. My brother, also her daddy, tossed her across it a few times to show her how it's done. Today we went to church and the missiionaries are coming over to eat left overs from yesterdays cook out. The girls are all gussied up for tonights air show and fire works with their red, white and blue. They even picked threw all the hundreds of silly bands for all the red and blues to match their outfits. So fun my girls!
Happy Fourth of July!

Is that George and Debbie?
Since our girls were babies,Troy has always done comical things with them. He would spike up their hair or make them have silly voices as infants.Madison was only 4lb 5oz. and 17 in.long so he liked to place her in objects to see if she fit. (like an easter basket,a doll stroller, and a regular cooking pot)(the pot was empty of course). This traditional activity has carried over and now it's Troy and the girls who do crazy things all the time.( especially Madison.) Those of you who think she is quiet and shy, she's really a ham(like her dad). So tonight after Wipe out which just puts us all in a silly mood, who shows up to our home but George Michaels and Debbie Gibson.

perfect day!
Today was one of those just totally perfect day.Amy and I toke our small daycare down to Indian beach.I love it there.Hardly anyone goes there because it's not one of the main beaches. The waves were so nice I hardly wanted to get out of the water. Then on the way home I talk with Troy on the cell.He has decided to take the lessons with the missionaries on Tuesday. This is such a great day.

Cucumbers,onions,beans and....spiders?
Tonight our family had Family Home Evening with the Martins. We do this ever so often. It's always fun.The children were in charge tonight. Our activity was to weed the garden. This did not go as smoothly as I'd thought since the children wanted to pick the veggies and not so much the weeds. There were spiders and that was all she wrote for Madison Miller and Gabbie.(My girls are such city girls)I hate killing living creatures, especially ones that do not do us harm (like spiders).Spiders can not help that they are scary looking.Amy how ever informed me when I was gone she was going to kill that spider. At least she was sweet enough not to do it in front of me like Troy usually does.Poor spider.

June the Month for Fathers..
This is alittle premature but I felt inspired to write about Troy as a father. To say he a good dad is just not suitable. He is a wonderful father. The kind that every little girl wants and deserves.I went on a walk tonight just to blow off some steam when i returned it was bedtime. He was reading the girls a story. That's just how he is.I love to listen to him joke around with the girls and watch how now they are just as funny and whity as him.Now He is the one laughing so hard that the vain on the left side of his face is bulging and Im scared he'll have a heart attack.Im very proud of him. I know that one day my girls will look back and know they were blessed to have him as their daddy.

Both the twins decided they wanted to be baptized.I was so proud of them for making this decision themselves.Josh Martin baptized them. The missionaries Elder Holbrook and Elder Leavitt gave a talk on batism and the holy ghost. Both girls recieved really sweet C.T.R rings and necklaces, which they really like and have been wearing everyday since. It was a speacial evening.

mother's day
The mother's Day weekend started pretty nice. Then Gabbie started to feel bad then by Sunday she was miserable.Troy has been sick and my mother in law was in the E.R.
The twin's did there best to make it a speacial day. They helped cleaning the downstairs and washed my car.Even though Gabbie was sick she and the twins still did a really sweet Mother's day cheer for me.Troy downloaded Vampire weekend for me off of Itunes. So even if it was a yucky weekend it was still sweet.

Family home evening of a flop or not?
Ok, so family home evening is new for our family. So far they have been going pretty well.Till this week! So, the whole day was just rotten for me. Anna was having a clothing issue,(she's o.c.d about the way clothing touches her skin) Madison (A.K.A the firecracker)was telling me that she wanted to just lay around and watch t.v.(this child worries me)and Poor Gabbie was having anxiety about when we were going to start family home evening.(IT was Gabbie's time to share the lesson)She had everything prepared and was waiting(I know this because she told us all about every two mins.)So, we finally come together im alittle tired from the long day,Troys worried if he can make it throught this in time, he has to go to class. Madison wants to watch t.v and Annna is just mad. So gabbie starts and it was at first a disaster. We were making scrpiture cookies.Madison wants to just make the cookies then look up scripture, so needless to say, we do finish and it turns out to be sort of fun and i felt better by the end. I felt it was not our most spirit filled eveing like some in the past.On the other hand, I took time to reflect on the fact that our family has grown so much spritually that i was proud.Gabbie is very strong about how she feels about our church. And the twins ask Troy daily about wen he will be baptized. They also say that they want to be baptized so we can be together forever.I have to say I feel even more blessed that even in the evenings scattered family home evening we still land up coming together to remember how blessed we all are to have each other.

Trying to Blog
So,Im usually a personal journal type person but what the hey why not let the world see my crap tastic spelling and dull subjects. Im starting this blog with a little run down about myself and family.
Troy and I married July 8th (Im usually the one who forgets) in Honolulu Hawaii, where Troy was stationed at Schofield Barracks Army Base.We loved it there and it was truly like a two and a half year honeymoon. We moved back to N.C and had Gabrielle Elise Miller May 4th 1999. When she was eighteen months old we moved to Augusta G.A later had our twins August 21,2001. Since then we have moved to San Antonio,T.X then back to N.C.We have been here since May 2007.I miss the millitary life very much.I have recently joined The CHurch of Jesus Christ of Ladder day Saints. It had been a truly been a blessing for our family.Troy comments on how I have seemed so much happier,And I am happy. I've suffered some heartache from family but What can you do! I just know that im right were i need to be.
